About this collection

Following in the path of pioneers of American aviation, Jeana Yeager and her co-pilot Dick Rutan became the first to fly non-stop and non-refueled around the world in December of 1986, a singular achievement in the history of human endeavors. In addition to her world record setting flight, Ms. Yeager set many records in the early to mid 1980’s for speed, endurance and distance.

The Jeana Yeager digital collection is a very small sample of some of the items from the collection, which is housed in the Special Collection Department of the James G. Gee Library of Texas A&M University–Commerce. It is one of the largest collections of aviation memorabilia available to the public. The collection includes photos, slides, VHS tapes, maps, prints, engineering prints and drawings, awards and correspondence. The collection also houses the original molds used for the Voyager craft, a mock up of the Voyager cabin, and several additional collections from early American aviators.
